Children's Chapel
Children aged 3 to 7 are invited to participate in this 10:30 am service in the Children's Chapel. Adapted from the order for Morning Prayer, this service contains age-appropriate lessons, activities, and music. Children are brought into the sanctuary to join their parents during the announcements before Holy Communion. Children's Chapel is led by parent volunteers with assistance from parish youth.
Sunday School for 2016-2017
Classes for children and youth meet from 9:30 to 10:15 am on the second floor of the Parish Hall during the school year. Children in preschool through 5th grade will be introduced to a new, fun lectionary-based curriculum for 2016-2017. It’s called Whirl (for Welcome, Hear, Respond, and Launch). Its age-appropriate materials incorporate a brief animated video where characters model what it’s like for kids to go through the questions and challenges of living out their faith with discussion and activities specific to each class to explore the theme of the week’s lectionary readings. It’s a lively pace that provides solid formation and fun. If you would like to learn more about the program, please visit their website.
For those not quite ready for preschool, we will use Frolic to guide them along their first steps of faith.
Older students participate in Youth Programs.
Children have the opportunity to participate in several music programs, as well.
